Project Background
With PetroChina and Sinopec accelerating shale gas development in Chongqing, the Yongchuan District has emerged as a key production hub in China. Currently, Sinopec’s daily shale gas output in the region has exceeded 1 million cubic meters, with total production potential expected to reach several million cubic meters per day. However, due to the lack of mature pipeline infrastructure, conventional gas transportation methods result in high costs and low efficiency. The client urgently required a flexible and efficient wellhead liquefaction solution to enable on-site utilization and maximize resource value.
Solution
To meet the demand for efficient resource conversion at shale gas production sites, KAITIANGAS independently developed and deployed a new generation of integrated LNG liquefaction units. Based on a proven mixed refrigerant process and further optimized, the system features a compact structure, high efficiency, and strong adaptability—ideal for on-site deployment at gas wells. The modular design allows for scalable capacity expansion, significantly shortening the construction period and reducing initial investment for the client.
